Women's Health Club
I joined the Women’s Health Club during the 2022-2023 school year. The mission of the club is to educate our classmates and community about women’s health and autonomy in order to reduce stigma. In addition to helping connect students to resources, we share information about global issues affecting women and girls. I also serve as a DEI representative for the club, part of a small group chosen by the school DEI board to help represent the community. As a DEI representative, I work with administrators and faculty to advocate on behalf of our diverse student body and ensure that everyone’s needs are being met. I’m definitely going to take my passion for promoting women’s leadership and health into all my future work and schooling.

Business Club
I joined this club as a member and founder in the 2022-2023 school year. We research and replicate what would happen in a typical company or start-up. This includes replicating different departments such as human resources and marketing. Marketing has been the most interesting department to me. I feel my strengths lie in interacting with people and creating compelling narratives. We also host guest speakers from various fields in the workforce. I plan to work in the business realm in the future, so this group is very relevant to my goals.

Student Services Ambassador
I became a student service ambassador this year. As an ambassador, I find service opportunities for other students to participate in. I took on this role because of the enjoyment and meaning I got out of my own service work, and I wanted to help other people have similar experiences. One of my favorite events was a toy drive we did for Christmas. The student ambassadors helped promote this event to the community and ensure it went smoothly. This role has helped me understand the power and strength in teamwork. It has been incredibly meaningful to work with others to drive change.

Model United Nations
I have participated in Model United Nations since freshman year and it’s one of my favorite activities. We have mock debates about international issues and other fun topics. My favorite was a debate on the abolishment of homework. I enjoy MUN because I am good at communicating things to people, advocating for others, and getting my point across. It’s a healthy challenge presenting concepts in a way that people will relate to, viewing different sides of issues and representing them. I feel that there is value in my opinions and I want to share them.
