I started learning how to play the viola in the fourth grade. I fell in love with it as soon as I started playing. I thought it was very unique because it was similar to the violin but the community in the orchestra was smaller and more tight knit. Before moving schools freshman year, I was a part of a high-level Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies (GTCYS) orchestra. Now, I am mostly practicing by myself and leaning into the joy of playing.
