Tennis Coaching
Last year, I was an assistant tennis coach for the lower school tennis team. I worked with a large group of students ages kindergarten through 4th grade. I helped plan the exercises each day, run drills, and manage group dynamics. This was great because I love to play tennis, it's a big part of my life and my family and it was meaningful to share that with others. As someone who had participated in these training programs myself, I felt I had useful knowledge to impart. I had so much fun getting to spend time with energetic and determined kids and teach them something new. It was very inspiring.
May Fair
Every year, I volunteer at a festival organized by my school. This event consists of stands where you can get food, participate in activities, and buy products from local businesses. All proceeds of the fair go to charity. Last year, I ran the face painting stand. I went through the entire process of learning how to face paint, and it was fun to explore my more artistic side. On top of that, getting to work with kids was fun and entertaining.
